Introduction
Video teaching is an effective and modern way to share knowledge on surgical techniques.

Background
In 2002 the idea was born to acquire a database with educative full length films of various oculoplastic surgical procedures. The first recordings were made by the Swiss Dr. Farhad Hafezi during his work as a fellow at the oculoplastic service of the Rotterdam Eye Hospital (Dr. Dion Paridaens and Dr. Willem van den Bosch).
For better quality and with the help of Ing. Edward Breedveld of Innovation Technologies the camera system was replaced by a professional high definition setup, providing state of the art video recordings of operations.
In the second stadium of the production the recorded videos were post produced by Dion Paridaens and Edward Breedveld.
